Alcohol & Other Drug Abuse Evening Treatment Program

Lutheran Counseling & Family Services is offering a safe, Christian-based alcohol and other drug abuse treatment program for preteens, teens and adults in the Greater Milwaukee area. Youth or adults may enter the program first-hand or may use the program as a transition between inpatient rehabilitation and AA-type meetings to help them remain drug-free.

The goal of Christian AODA counseling is to strengthen the lives of preteens, teens and adults through six major areas: Emotional, Social/Behavioral, Spiritual, Recreation/Leisure, Physical, and Education. Helping an adult or young person become alcohol and drug free can make a major difference in their futures, their families, and the community-at-large.

How Do You Know When You or Your Child/Parent Needs Help?

Look for these signs:
  • Lying about how much alcohol or drugs they are using
  • Believing that alcohol or drugs are necessary to have fun
  • Feeling run-down, depressed, or even suicidal
  • Having problems at school or getting in trouble with the law
  • Change of friends
  • Having a hard time remembering thins that just happened
  • Acting silly for no apparent reason
  • Slurred speach
  • Drunk, dizzy, or dazed appearance
  • Unusual breath odor
  • Having red, bloodshot eyes, and smelly hair and clothes
LCFS is offering three different modes of treatment: Primary Treatment, Intensive Out-patient Treatment, and Aftercare and Relapse Prevention.
